Global Food Waste Fact!

Hulla, everyone! In this first content of this category, I want to tell you a surprising fact about the global food waste. So get ready, because it will surprise you!

Did you guys know? According to Food and Agriculture Organization, one third of the food produced in the world per year get wasted! It is the same with approximately 1.3 billion tonnes of food waste! Wow, it is a lot! You can swim inside the food, you know? Hahaha just kidding..

It costs the global economy close to $940 billion. Wow... How many onigiri you can buy with that money? But I will not sell myself to you no matter how expensive I am!

According to UK Harvest, eliminating this global food waste would save 4.4 million tonnes of CO2 per year. It is the same with taking one in four cars off the road! We can breath freely, then. Right, friends?

If one quarter of this wasted food were save, it would feed 870 milliin hungry people. Hmm.. That is a huge amount, right?

It is surprising, right? I am surprised with that fact, to be honest. We produce a great amount of food.

So imagine how huge the impact is if we do not produce food waste! Would the world be so much better if we stop producing food waste?
